RESPONSIBILITIES:
On-site quality expert at a key automotive client (OEM), ensuring component quality is maintained, issues are solved quickly, and suppliers are supported to prevent production disruptions.
1. On-site Quality Support:
§ Be the first point of contact for any quality issues at the client’s plant or R&D.
§ Respond immediately to incidents and coordinate emergency actions (sorting, rework, temporary fixes).
2. Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis:
§ Lead 8D (or similar) problem-solving processes with suppliers and internal teams.
§ Ensure problems are analysed deeply and permanent solutions are implemented.
3. Supplier Management:
§ Manage supplier 8D reports: check for timeliness, accuracy, and effectiveness.
§ Verify corrective actions are implemented and effective.
4. Communication & Coordination:
§ Act as a bridge between the OEM’s quality/production teams and internal/supplier teams.
§ Facilitate clear, professional technical communication.
5. Quality Monitoring & Improvement:
§ Track quality metrics for your components.
§ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
