Quality Control Technician
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Responsible for product label match & form & tag preparationConduct equipment visual inspection & corrective action requestPerform Environmental & Product sampling and simple chemical testing as per scheduleResponsible for Monitoring activities of SQF policies> HACCP and prerequisite programs.
Report any non-compliance practices or products to QA Manager and take appropriate corrective actions
Communicate with other departmental supervisors in a cooperative mannerConduct employee training on GMP> HACCP or as requiredAssist and participate in food safety documentation> internal auditing and investigation process for corrective and preventative actions
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must be detail oriented> good visual inspection ability and reliableExperience in Quality Control activities in a processing environment is preferred not a mustKnowledge of food safety and/or quality assurance program and/or life science> previous experience in meat facility or Ready to Eat Foods is an assetFluent in written and oral English.
Knowledge of other languages such as Mandarin Chinese> would be an assetAbility to work independently and cooperatively with all employees and contractors and to provide technical help when neededCompetitive salary and wages are negotiable depending on experience.
